Welcome to the National's Home Loan Pre-approval application.
At the National, we aim to provide the best possible service to you. Our Pre-approval will provide you with an understanding of the amount of funds that you will be able to borrow for your home loan.
The following Pre-approval application should take no more than ten minutes to complete.
A National Home Loan specialist will contact you to advise the outcome of the application. If successful, you will be sent a Pre-approval letter, stating the amount to which you are conditionally Pre-approved to borrow.
In order to be eligible for a Home Loan Pre-approval, it is required that you:
- Have sufficient savings or equity in your home to contribute to the purchase or refinance, at least 10% of the property market value;
- Have sufficient savings to pay for the legal and government fees if purchasing a new home. These fees may vary from state to state and a maximum of 5% has been assumed for this Pre-approval calculation;
- Are not self-employed.
National Home Loan Pre-approvals can not be used to purchase a property at an auction.
Conditions
Conditional Pre-approval is valid for up to three months and final approval is subject to:
- Providing the National with adequate security;
- Verification of the information you provide in your formal home loan application (including your identification, where necessary, and employment and income details);
- Completion of satisfactory credit checks;
- Further credit assessment, if necessary;
