NAB student account - Applying from outside of Australia

You can apply online right now - it takes around 10 minutes and you don't have to be a NAB customer

• You need to be over 18 years old to apply online, and studying full-time to be eligible for the fee waiver on the NAB Classic Banking account
• If you're an existing NAB customer, you'll need your NAB ID number
• You'll also need:
  • The address where you will be staying on your arrival in Australia (if available) and/or your overseas address
    
  • Your current contact telephone number and mailing address
    
  • The name of the university or institution you will be studying at
• If you are already located in Australia, please use our NAB Student Account - Local application form to apply

• You'll receive a confirmation webpage and automatic email (to the email address you have provided) to confirm your application was successfully submitted, once you've completed the form. Your email address will only be used to communicate with you about your application
• You will also receive a pack in the mail (within two weeks), containing your new account number, a letter of confirmation and some information about the account
• Once you have your account number you can transfer money straight into your account. The information pack will explain what you need to do once you arrive in Australia, before you can access your money 
• NAB will never email you requesting any personal information, such as your account name or number
• Online applications are protected by encryption so your details stay safe
