Things you should know before applying

  • If you are not located in Australia, and are applying from overseas you can apply online using our Student account - Applying from outside of Australia form
  • You can apply for a joint or single account
  • You need to be over 18 years old to apply online
  • You must be a full-time tertiary student to be eligible for the fee waiver on the NAB Classic Banking account 
  • You'll need your student details including name of University, Agricultural College or TAFE and your course name
  • If you're an existing NAB customer you'll need your NAB ID number
  • If you are interested a NAB everyday bank account, you can also apply for one using this form 

After you submit your application
  • Once you've completed the form, you'll receive a confirmation webpage and automatic email (to the email address you have provided) to confirm your application was successfully submitted. Your email address will only be used to communicate with you about your application
  • A Welcome Pack will be sent to you in the mail that will contain more information about the next steps
  • If you aren't already a NAB customer you may need to complete a 100 point identification check and provide evidence of your student status
  • NAB will never email you requesting any personal information, such as your account name or number
  • Online applications are protected by encryption so your details stay safe
