Account Information

No more waiting for NAB Bank statements or NAB Online Trading CHESS statements to arrive in the mail.  NAB Internet Banking lets you view your balance details and Share Portfolio Holdings at any time.

Viewing account summary

View summary balances for all your linked accounts and information on Investments and Insurance products.

View a summary of your Share Portfolio Holdings if your NAB ID is registered with NAB Online Trading.*

*If your NAB ID is not registered with NAB Online Trading, a link is displayed in NAB Internet Banking so that if you wish you can register directly with the service.

 

Viewing transaction history

 

 

You can view transactions made by your linked NAB accounts for any period within the last 560 days.

NB: If you have not registered for NAB Smart Statements then you will only be able to view up to 100 days of transaction history.

In addition, you are able to export your transaction history information into applications such as, Microsoft® Money, Quicken®, MYOB® V2002, or into a spreadsheet for permanent storage on your computer.

Checking detailed account information

 

 

 

 

 

You can check the details of each of your linked NAB accounts individually, including:

  • For Transaction accounts, you can check: any unclear funds, how much interest is accumulating and interest earned for the previous financial year.

  • For Fixed Term Loans, you can check: next loan re-payment date and applied interest rate.

  • For Term deposits, you can check: the date the deposit matures and Interests earnt.

  • For Credit cards, you can check:
    your credit limit, closing balance, next payment due date and minimum payment due.
  • For MLC Insurance and National General Insurance products, you can check general information regarding your policies such as annual premiums and policy anniversary dates.
  • For MLC Investment products, you can see date of valuation, fund, units held, unit price and total holdings

    (Please note, MLC and National General Insurance information is only available to customers who have registered for Enhanced Internet Banking )
 

Stop payment of a cheque
















 

 

NAB Internet Banking now allows you to stop payment of a cheque or a range of cheques.

Stopping payment of a cheque is easy.  All you need is the account number and the cheque number/s that you would like to place the stop on.

Note:

  • Stops are placed on cheque numbers in sequence and inclusively (eg 100003 to 100005 means cheque numbers 100003, 100004 and 100005).
  • NAB can only stop payment on a cheque before it has been presented for payment.
  • To stop payment on a cheque your NAB ID must have debit access to the account from which the cheque is drawn.
  • Fees and charges may apply.
 
 Re-order a cheque or deposit book












You can now re-order your cheque or deposit books for selected NAB accounts through NAB Internet Banking.

Note: 

  • Cheque and deposit books re-ordered through NAB Internet Banking will be delivered in accordance with the existing instructions held with NAB and may take up to 10 working days to be received.
  • Re-orders can only be accepted for previously established cheque or deposit book facilities.
 

Re-order statement

 

Do you need a copy of your account statement? You can now order copies of your statements online and have them mailed to you. Simply select Re-order statement from the account info menu.

 

View Statements

 

Do you want to view, download and save the last 7 years of your account statements online? You can choose to view your statements online or continue to have them mailed to you. Simply select View statements from the account info menu.

Funds transfer

Funds transfer will allow you to make a transfer from your account to a single account or multiple accounts at NAB or any financial institution in Australia and selected beneficiaries overseas.

There are two types of funds transfers, a single Funds transfer and a Multiple funds transfer.

All transfers are subject to "daily transfer limits". Find out more.

Funds transfer

Make a funds transfer to your linked NAB accounts

Make a transfer directly to another account at NAB or any financial institution in Australia.

Note 1:  You cannot transfer to MasterCard or Visa Card accounts. You will need to use the Bill payment function for these transactions.

Multiple funds transfer














A Multiple funds transfer is an ideal way to pay money into several accounts, all at once.

You can  save the Multiple funds transfer payment details as a Payment File template that can be used again:

  • import a file from an office payroll package (e.g. Quicken®, MYOB®) into NAB Internet Banking to pay your employee accounts.  Note: The file must be in a valid Direct Entry (DE) format.
  • import a previously saved Payment File template that was originally created using Internet Banking.
  • a maximum of 100 payments can be done at the one time.

Note:
You cannot transfer money to or from any Credit Card accounts when you use Multiple funds transfer. 





International Transfer

International Transfer is an easy way to pay money to an overseas beneficiary. A fee of $22 is applicable to an International Transfer completed via NAB Internet Banking.

Note: You must be pay anyone enabled and registered for SMS Security before completing an International Transfer via NAB Internet Banking.

 
Personal loan redraw  Customers with unsecured variable-rate NAB personal loans are now able to redraw via NAB internet banking,
 
Redraw allows customers to withdraw funds from their loan if they have made additional payments. Amounts greater than $500, up to a maximum amount of $15,000 per transaction can be redrawn.
 
Home loan redraw
If you are ahead of your minimum repayments on your NAB variable rate home loan, you now have the ability to redraw funds through your NAB Internet Banking.
 
You can redraw between $2,000 and $80,000 for any personal use and the funds are available immediately.  This option is accessible via the ‘Funds Transfer’ menu in Internet banking. 
 
Note:  Only loans with an approved redraw authority have access to this function.

Bill payment

Pay your bills via BPAY® and view your bills via BPAY ViewTM

Creating one off bill payments

The bill payment function of NAB Internet Banking will let you make a one off bill payment to any biller participating in the BPAY® scheme. A full list of current billers can be viewed on the BPAY® website.  

Note: Some billers do not accept payments from credit card accounts via BPAY ®. Please check with the biller first.

Creating periodic bill payments








You can set up a 'periodic' bill payment which will allow you to Schedule in advance any regular bill payments to any biller participating in the BPAY® scheme.

If a particular biller does not appear on the Biller list, or participate in the scheme, you will not be able to use NAB Internet Banking to make your payment. If a biller you want to pay isn't on the list, why not ask them to join? All the major banks have information about joining this program or you can email NAB for further information.

BPAY ViewTM














Do you want the convenience of receiving your bills electronically?

A growing list of BPAY® billers now provide this service that include many telecommunications companies, councils and utilities. See if your biller is among those that currently provide the BPAY View facility.

NAB offers this as a free service through Internet Banking, enabling you to:

  • Activate a BPAY ViewTM biller (this will advise the biller that you wish to receive your bills electronically).
  • Be notified in Internet Banking and by email every time a new bill is received.
  • Receive, view and print electronic bill summaries, and
  • View and print the detailed bill through a biller provided link.

You can tailor NAB Internet banking to suit your needs through my settings in NAB Internet Banking.

Within my settings service you can change your account nicknames assigned to each individual accounts.

Modify contact details

You can change your contact details anytime within NAB Internet Banking under my settings feature if you are currently registered for SMS security. 

Security

Under the security feature, you are offered a range of security options via NAB internet banking. This includes SMS Security, password management and security softwares. 

Enhanced internet banking

Enhanced NAB Internet Banking enables you to view MLC Investment and Insurance products along with National General Insurance within your NAB Internet Banking. This detail displays in Account balances, Transaction history and Account details. To enable this feature, simply choose the 'Register to enhance internet banking' option under the my settings menu.  

SMS Banking

Transfer funds, receive account balances and mini-statements all on your mobile phone. To get started, select "my settings" then "SMS Banking". For more information, visit Internet Banking help

Modify transaction history settings

This feature allows you to permanently change (to a maximum of 100 days) the number of transaction history days that are automatically displayed when selecting transaction history from the account info menu.
This feature also allows you to select from the drop-down list and permanently change the number of transactions displayed per page when selecting transaction history from the account info menu.

Term Deposit

NAB Internet Banking gives you the convenience of opening a Term Deposit online.

You can view the National's Term Deposit interest rates on screen, select a term and rate to suit you, and simply nominate one of your NAB accounts from which to transfer the money from. 

 

Transaction account

You can apply for a new Smart transaction account or you can switch your existing NAB transaction account.

 
Credit Card


Applying online for a Credit Card is easy, complete the online application and get a response within 60 seconds. Click on the 'Apply now' button to begin the application process.

Contact us 

NAB Internet Banking has a built in, secure message function, allowing you to contact NAB without using the phone or even having to access your regular email service.

If you have an enquiry about your NAB account(s), or our Internet Banking service, you can send a message to us. You can easily see when we have responded to your message, as an indicator will alert you on your Account balance screen (eg. You have 3 new message(s)).

Specially trained staff will respond to your general enquiries and questions about NAB Internet Banking. However, you should contact us on 1300 651 656 or your Banker directly if you have more complex requirements.

You can also find your nearest NAB location and register for SMS security.
