Conditions of Entry:
Definitions
“NAB Visa Debit card and NAB Visa Debit account ” mean a NAB Visa Debit card issued by NAB to a NAB Accountholder and an eligible NAB Smart everyday account to which the NAB Visa Debit card is linked.
“NAB Accountholder ” means a person who has been issued with a NAB Visa Debit card which is linked to an eligible NAB Smart everyday account and who received the Promotional Material during the Promotion Period.
“Eligible Transaction ” means any of the following eligible transactions posted to the NAB Visa Debit account during the Promotion Period.
Eligible transactions include:
• Purchases made using your Visa Debit card and signature,
• EFTPOS terminal purchases made using the “Credit” button
• Online and over the phone purchases when you provide your card details
• Direct debit, recurring or mail order payments made using your card details
• ATM cash withdrawals made using the “Credit” button
Eligible transactions do not include:
• EFTPOS terminal transactions made using the “Cheque” or “Savings” button
• ATM cash withdrawals made using the “Cheque” or “Savings” button
• Fees and charges (including government fees and charges).
“Promoter” means National Australia Bank Limited ABN 12 004 044 937.
“Promotion Period ” means the period between 8th October 2007 at 12:00 AM (EST) and 6th July 2008 at 11:59PM (EDST).
“Promotional Material ” means the letter addressed to a NAB Accountholder and titled “Visa Debit card details” included in the NAB Visa Debit card welcome pack accompanying the NAB Visa Debit card sent to the postal address of the NAB Accountholder by the Promoter.
“Relevant Prize Draw ” means the relevant Prize draw described in 5.
1. Information on how to enter and all Prize details form part of the terms and conditions of entry (“Conditions of Entry ”).
2. Entry is open to an eligible NAB Accountholder:
a) who is a resident of Australia, over the age of 16 years. Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter, its subsidiaries and its agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Employees of belong Pty Ltd ABN 75 058 774 593 who are directly involved in this promotion are also ineligible to enter; and
b) who makes 10 (ten) or more Eligible Transactions within 90 days of the date of their Promotional Material; and
c) whose NAB Visa Debit card is still open on the date of the Relevant Prize Draw.
3. An eligible NAB Accountholder will automatically receive one entry into the Relevant Prize Draw when their NAB Visa Debit account has been posted with 10 (ten) Eligible Transactions within 90 days after the date of their Promotional Material..
4. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for delayed or misdirected transactions.
5. During the Promotional Period the Relevant Prize Draws are as follows:
• January Prize draw - for Eligible Transactions posted to the NAB Visa Debit account between 8 October 2007 and 6 January 2008 (inclusive). This Prize draw will take place at belong on 21 January 2008 at 11:00AM (EST) at Level 8, 155 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000.
• April Prize draw - for Eligible Transactions posted to the NAB Visa Debit account between 7 January and 6 April 2008 (inclusive). This Prize draw will take place at belong on 21 April 2008 at 11:00AM (EST) at Level 8, 155 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000.
• July Prize draw - for Eligible Transactions posted to the NAB Visa Debit account between 7 April and 6 July 2008 (inclusive). This Prize draw will take place at belong on 21 July 2008 at 11:00AM (EDST) at Level 8, 155 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000.
6. The Prize Winners (and Back-Up Winners) for all draws will be selected at random electronically. Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. Subject to these Conditions of Entry:
a) the 1st eligible NAB Accountholder drawn in each Relevant Prize Draw will win a 42PC1DG – 106cm LG Plasma TV
b) Valued at $2,499
c) the 2nd to 6th eligible NAB Accountholders drawn (inclusive) in each Relevant Prize Draw will be held as Back-Up Winners. Back-Up Winners will be recorded in the order drawn and used only in the instance that the relevant Prize Winner is ineligible, and therefore unable to receive a Prize. The Prize will be awarded to the Back-Up Winner in the order in which they were drawn. A Back-Up Winner will not receive the Prize, except pursuant to this clause. Backup Winners are held in reserve for one Prize draw only and will be drawn separately for each of the three Prize draws.
d) no NAB Accountholder will receive a Prize except in accordance with these Conditions of Entry.
8. The Prize awarded for each Relevant Prize Draw is as follows:
The total maximum potential value for the Promotion at the date of publication of these Conditions of Entry is AU$7,497.
The Prize will be delivered at the Promoter’s expense to the Prize Winner’s home address as held with the Promoter, within 14 days of the Prize Winner accepting the Prize.
9. The Prize (including any part of the Prize) is not transferable, divisible or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value or content of a Prize.
10. Subject to these Conditions of Entry, if the Promoter is unable to provide any Prize Winner with the nominated Prize or any part of the Prize, for any reason, including the fact that any Prize Winner has not accepted their Prize within sufficient time to enable them to receive the Prize, the Promoter reserves the right to supply an alternative Prize of similar monetary value. Subject to state legislation.
11. (a) The Prize Winners will be contacted in writing and by telephone by the Promoter (at the contact details held by the Promoter for the NAB Accountholder) within 2 business days of the Prize allocation:
(i) to notify the Prize Winner that his/her name has been successful in the promotion;
(ii) to confirm whether the Prize Winner is eligible to win under these Conditions of Entry;
(iii) to confirm whether the Prize Winner wishes to claim his/her prize; and
(b) The Prize Winner must confirm their eligibility under the Conditions of Entry and claim the Prize within 3.5 months of being notified that he/she is the Prize Winner.
12. If any Prize Winner fails to comply with clause 11(b) (and subject to these Conditions of Entry) the Prize Winner will be deemed to have forfeited his/her prize. A re-allocation of the Prize to a Back-Up Winner will then be conducted at the same place and time as the original Prize draw on the following dates to award the forfeited Prize:
• January Prize draw - 2nd May 2008
• April Prize draw – 1st August 2008
• July Prize draw - 4th November 2008
The Prize Winners of these re-allocations will be notified by phone and mail and results published in The Australian newspaper on the following dates:
• January Prize draw – 7th May2008
• April Prize draw – 7th August 2008
• July Prize draw – 7th November 2008
13. Once an eligible NAB Accountholder has been entered into a Relevant Prize Draw, that NAB Accountholder is ineligible for any other Prize draw. This is regardless of whether or not the NAB Accountholder is a Prize Winner or Back -Up Winner, or whether a NAB Accountholder is later ruled ineligible in accordance with these Conditions of Entry.
14. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any entrant’s or Prize Winner’s participation in the Promotion or the receipt or use of any part of a Prize except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
15. To the fullest extent permissible at law each NAB Accountholder and each Prize Winner releases the Promoter from any claim, loss, damage, expense (including, without limitation any claim for legal expenses), cost and charge sustained and/or in any way incurred by them in connection with a Prize and/or their participation in the Promotion.
16. The Promoter cannot provide advice on specific tax issues. The Promoter recommends that independent tax advice and legal advice on any tax implications arising from winning a Prize should be sought. In the event that any Prize is subject to tax, the Promoter will not be liable for any additional tax payable by a Prize Winner.
17. By accepting a Prize, a Prize Winner agrees to participate in any publicity arrangements made by or on behalf of the Promoter in relation to this Promotion. The Promoter reserves the right to publicise the Prize Winner’s name, suburb, date of win and photograph through newsletters, print media, electronic media, broadcasts or any other means of publicity. The details of Prize Winners will be published in the Australian newspaper on the following dates:
• January Prize draw – 4th February 2008
• April Prize draw – 5th May 2008
• July Prize draw – 4th August 2008

Abridged Conditions of Entry
The Promoter is National Australia Bank Limited. Promotion Period ends 06/07/08 at 23:59 (EDST). Eligible NAB Accountholders qualify for one Prize Draw only. Relevant Prize Draws will take place on 21/01/08 at 11:00 (EST), 21/04/08 at 11:00 (EST) and 21/07/08 at 11:00 (EDST) at Level 8, 155 George St, Sydney NSW 2000. Promoters use of Information
The Promoter (National Australia Bank Limited) will be using your existing customer details to enter you in this competition ("Information"). The Information will be used by the Promoter to conduct this competition. Please contact the Promoter if you would like to access or correct the Information that the Promoter holds about you. The Promoter will generally provide you with access to your Information if practicable (although a fee may be imposed).
